PRESIDENT/CEO

Master Kim began studying Taekwondo in 1974 in Seoul, Korea and is a 6th Dan Black Belt (WTF). He majored in Taekwondo and graduated from Kyung Hee University in Korea. He has 38 years of instructional experience and was the International Instructor for the WTF as well as the head coach of the Korean American Taekwondo Team for the 80th Korea National Sports Festival. He was the former President of the San Diego Taekwondo Association and is now teaching in San Diego.

  • 1994 – Current Established second Tae Kwon Do studio, Kyung Hee Tae Kwon Do Academy eighteen years ago and still currently managing.
  • 2007 – Former President of San Diego Taekwondo Association
  • 2007 – Be awarded the Presidential Active Lifestyle.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Obtained the level of the seventh degree black belt instructor in Tae Kwon Do
  • Certified master of The World Tae Kwon Do Federation
  • Coach of the American Tae Kwon Do team for the Eightieth Korean National sport Festival
  • Involved in Tae Kwon Do for thirty-eight years

Master Hyon Lee has been practicing The Art of Tae Kwon Do for 35 years. Because of his training and dedication to the sport of Tae Kwon Do he was given many opportunities to represent the United States of America in multiple international competitions including 1992 Barcelona Spain (alternate), World Championships and Pan-American Games.

Master Hyon Lee has been practicing The Art of Tae Kwon Do for 35 years. Because of his training and dedication to the sport of Tae Kwon Do he was given many opportunities to represent the United States of America in multiple international competitions including 1992 Barcelona Spain (alternate), World Championships and Pan-American Games.

Widely regarded as one of the “Founding Fathers” of the San Diego biotech industry Dr. Carlo is a co-founder, President and CEO of Adamis Pharamaceuticals Corp. He served as Vice President of Research and Development and Therapeutic Manufacturing at Hybritech Inc until its acquisition by Eli Lilly & Co. in 1985.

Widely regarded as one of the “Founding Fathers” of the San Diego biotech industry Dr. Carlo is a co-founder, President and CEO of Adamis Pharamaceuticals Corp. He served as Vice President of Research and Development and Therapeutic Manufacturing at Hybritech Inc until its acquisition by Eli Lilly & Co. in 1985. Dr. Carlo, along with Dr. Jonas Salk, James Glavin and Kevin Kimberland founded the Immune Response Corporation, a public company. Early in his career, as Director of Developmental and Basic Cellular Immunology and Director of Bacterial Vaccines and Immunology at Merck & Co., he oversaw research and product development for PNEUMOVAX (multi-valent polysaccharide vaccine), MENINGOVAX A, MENINGOVAX C, MENINGOVAX A-C, and H. influenzae type b. At Hybritech, he managed a successful program to carry out research and development in the area of monoclonal antibody and cancer therapy. Dr. Carlo’s work at The Immune Response Corporation included establishing programs in Autoimmunity and HIV and he led product development in successful clinical trials. Dr. Carlo received a B.S. degree in Microbiology from Ohio State University and has a Ph.D. in Immunology and Medical Microbiology from Ohio State University. He is named on 23 patents and has authored over 225 articles and abstracts in the field of Immunology. In 1991, Ernst and Young named Dr. Carlo its Biotechnology Entrepreneur of the Year.
